Last week I went to my first Aberdeen Blogger event at The Body Shop. I absolutely loved it and everyone there were so lovely! We got the chance to learn more about their wildest campaign yet which is for every specially selected Christmas gift you buy this year, The Body Shop will help protect endangered creatures and restore 1 square metre of rainforest which is amazing! Please click here to find out more about the wonderful work The Body Shop are doing this Christmas.
After learning about their products and Christmas range, I went a bit wild and bought a heap of products to try out… Here’s what I picked up!
As you can see, I bought the medium sized Body Shop advent calendar which I am sooooo excited to open. I’ve actually had to hide it away so I don’t get tempted to open it all at once…
The Body Shop advent calendars come in three sizes; small, medium and large! I love the craze over beauty calendars this year and think it’s such a great alternative to chocolate everyday (of course I still have a chocolate calendar as well, would be rude not to…) These calendars are now sold out online but I’m sure if you’re quick you can grab the last few in stores!
I also got my own personalised body butter which you can do at any of the Body Shop stores. I think this would be a great Christmas gift to give to someone! There are three Christmas butter scents; Vanilla Chai, Frosted Berry and Spiced Apple (£14 each).
A range I’ve been obsessed with is Tea Tree! I’ve been using their Tea Tree oil for a while now and it is amazing for clearing up blemishes quickly. It’s the only product I’ve tried that really seems to work on targeted areas. I thought I would try the Tea Tree daily solution (£11) and primer (£8.50) alongside the Tea Tree oil (£8) and see how they all work together.
I purchased three products from their Vitamin E range; a moisturiser (£12), lip balm (£5) and eye cream (£12). I’ve heard a lot of good things about these products in terms of being extremely moisturising which is ideal for the winter months! I’ve been using all three of these products for a few days now and my skin feels so smooth, I highly recommend these. They also don’t irritate my skin and work well alongside the Tea Tree products!
Another hyped up product I’ve been seeing all over the internet is this Body Shop Skin Defense (£16)! It’s basically an SPF for your face which acts as an amazing primer for under your make up and also a moisturiser at the same time! I’ve been reading lately that it’s really important that you wear SPF on your face most days as it gives your skin the protection it needs from the outdoors. This product feels so smooth and gives you an amazing glow through your make up (as well as ensuring your make up lasts all day). Can’t recommend this enough!
The Body Shop has recently joined in with the hype and took out their very own range of matte liquid lipsticks (£6)! I got the one in the shade ‘Windsor Rose’ which is a perfect everyday nude. It’s a mousse type formula which feels very hydrating which is something I definitely need for the colder months. May need to go back and purchase more shades!
I absolutely love The Body Shop and I’m rarely ever disappointed with a product I try from there. Thanks to Sarah (BlogsVlogsEtc) for organising such a fun event, check out her blog!
Thank you for reading and let me know in the comments your favourite products from The Body Shop!
