After a very drunken and hungover birthday weekend last week, I was very excited to finally be going to try out Granite Park with my boyfriend and parents. I’ve heard so much great and wonderful things about this restaurant and it definitely lived up to the hype!
As we arrived, we were promptly greeted by a very cheerful waiter who showed us straight to our table. The restaurant itself is quite small but this definitely added a personal touch to the whole experience. It also got really busy which then I found out there was an upstairs dinning room as well however, the service standards did not drop at all even when it got busier!
To start us off we got an amuse bouche which was salmon, chorizo and creme cheese but unfortunately my mum and I are not the biggest fans of salmon so we passed it over to Scott and my dad; they both loved it!
Now onto the most important bit… the menu.
After we got given freshly baked rolls, I had the Pan Seared Scallops which were soooooo good I could’ve happily had two portions of these… or more…
The others had Scallops as well, Pumpkin Soup and the Crab Cake!
For main course we all went for the Scottish Fillet… this seems to be a recurring theme when we go out for dinner. Although no one regretted their decision as it was unreal. Major shout out to the crispy chips and amazing garlic and herb butter!
Of course we had to get dessert as well and I went for the Banoffee Cheesecake and so did Scott. Once again, it was definitely not a let down!
My dad went for the Apple & Blackberry Crumble and my mum went for one of the dessert cocktails which was Tiramisu (I had a taste and I was extremely jealous of it, need to go back and get myself one).
Once we finished our meal we headed down to their bar, Miro’s downstairs where I had their Applewood Smoked Aviation cocktail. Let’s just say I have never seen a cocktail been made like this before…
After all that effort that went into making it, let’s just be glad it actually tasted amazing! A very autumnal drink, I highly recommend.
Our night at Granite Park was amazing and I cannot wait to return again. I can’t fault it in any way. The service was very attentive and the attention to detail was clearly shown. Thanks to all the waiters and waitresses there for making the night very memorable!
